The Zoe Report x Courting: A New Perspective on Tennis Style

Some moments really do feel full circle.

Having spent part of my career at The Zoe Report, there's something particularly meaningful about seeing Courting featured in a publication that was once part of my own professional journey.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Kelsey Stewart about the inspiration behind Courting, my love of '90s tennis culture, and how an idea for a tennis-inspired coffee shop eventually evolved into a lifestyle brand.

The story of Courting didn't actually begin with clothing. After moving from New York to Los Angeles, I imagined creating a space where people could connect over a shared love of tennis. What started as a concept for a coffee shop eventually evolved into something entirely different: a tennis lifestyle brand rooted in sport, fashion, culture, and community.

Growing up playing tennis in New York during the '90s, I developed a deep appreciation for the style and personalities that defined the era. The bold graphics, iconic players, classic silhouettes, and unmistakable energy of the sport continue to influence Courting today. It's a little nostalgia, a little New York attitude, and a whole lot of love for the game.

As Courting has grown, collaborations with Whitney Port and Nini Fucsovics have brought new perspectives to that original vision, each offering a unique interpretation of the intersection between tennis, fashion, and personal style.

What makes this feature especially meaningful is the opportunity to share the story behind the clothes. Building Courting has been an exercise in creativity, taking chances, and figuring things out along the way. And while the brand continues to evolve, the original idea remains the same: bringing people together through a shared love of tennis.

A huge thank you to Kelsey Stewart and The Zoe Report for sharing our story. It's a pretty special feeling to find myself on the other side of the interview this time around.
